Customers are responsible to contact their local township or City to see if a dumpster permit is required.
For example, the City of Philadelphia requires the property owner to have an Equipment Placement Application, which enables the holder to place the container on the street or pavement. This permit is necessary because containers will often block the public right-of-way.
As our customer, you are ultimately responsible for the placement and removal of the dumpster and any damage incurred during the normal scope of work is not the responsibility of American Disposal Systems or their representatives.
Let us know if you are disposing of these materials and we can make sure to provide you with the appropriate dumpster.
1. Do not throw any non-acceptable waste (click here for a list of unacceptable waste items) into the dumpster.
2. Load the dumpster from the front (far end).
3. Put large and bulky items in first.
4. Breakdown big items before putting them in the dumpster.
5. Flatten boxes.
6. Fill in the gaps.
7. Distribute all material evenly and level with the top rail of the dumpster. Do not overfill the dumpster.
8. Dumpsters for heavy material such as concrete or asphalt may only be loaded ¾ full.
